PURCHASER’S RESPONSIBILITY

RE Engine

• Removal and fitting
• Replacement of oil-, air- and fuel filters
• Tuning and timing
• Checking of oil pressure
• Cleaning of radiator (not only flushing)
• Pressure test cooling system
• Fit new radiator cap
• Fit new thermostat / water pump
• Fit new cam belt and timing belt/chain
• Replace rear oil main crank seal 
  

Re Gearbox & Diff

• Removal and fitting
• Balancing of prop shaft
• Fitting of new spigot shaft bearing/bush
• Fitting of new seals e.g. side shaft- and gearbox / diff seals, front and back
• Inspect filler nut for default
• Use correct oil (manufactures spec)
• Fill correct amount of oil
  

VERY IMPORTANT!

RE ENGINE 

• Engine must be fitted by a qualified mechanic / workshop
• Do not overheat engine. A heat tab will be fitted. If removed or melted, guarantee will be null and void
• Check new oil level before starting
• Make sure temperature gauge is working.
• Check oil pressure / Fit new oil pump
• Check viscous fan operation
• Service engine and change oil filter
• The engine has to be registered within 21 days at local traffic authority
  
• Hanging parts such as alternator / starter / diesel pump / turbo / injectors and diesel injectors / has no warranty, whatsoever
  

RE GEARBOX AND DIFF

• Gearboxes and diffs ran with no oil or incorrect oil has no warranty
• Gearbox mounting must be in good condition. Auto gearboxes 7 day warranty.

GENERAL

• If engine, gearbox or diff has been tampered or interfered with, without proper authorization in writing, warranty will be null and void, Engine with hole in the block warranty will be null and void 
• Faulty items must be returned within 7 days. Costs involved will be for buyer’s account
• We are not responsible for any costs involved in the exchange or transport of engine, gearbox or diff
• No engine, gearbox or diff will be exchanged without inspection by ourselves as to ascertain the problem
  

Customer is to complete, sign and email this guarantee back to us within two days from date of purchase.

This warranty is limited to the repair or exchange of the unit at the option of John’s Engine & Gearbox. No other claims of any description whatsoever, whether implied or not will be considered. All parts remain the property of John’s Engine & Gearbox until paid for in full. Please bear in mind that you are buying a second-hand item and that there will always be an element of risk. NO CASH REFUNDS!!!!

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE REQUIRE VIDEO PROOF ON WHATSAPP TO YOUR SALES PERSON OF A FAULTY ENGINE AFTER IT HAS BEEN FITTED, AS WELL AS THE HEAT TAB BEFORE RETURNING ENGINE. ANY RETURN THAT HAS NO VIDEO SUBMITTED WILL NOT BE RECOGNISED.
